After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a first class degree, Jamie worked in the UK for 2 years before getting itchy feet and setting off for a new adventure in China. Jamie lived in Qingdao from 2009 and after doing an internship organised by Intern China, got to know the team and became GM in January 2010. After travelling through various places in South-East Asia and China, he settled in Qingdao because of the relaxed lifestyle, beautiful coastline and nearby countryside. Jamie went on to establish Intern China's Zhuhai office, where he's responsible for foreign interns there, enabling them to gain the same unique insights, hands-on experience and cultural awareness that he gained whilst working abroad in Germany and China. In his spare time Jamie is always organizing events, sports teams and social get-togethers. He speaks English (native), German (Fluent) and Chinese (conversational). |

In 2009 Jenny completed a 5 month internship at the Intern China office in Qingdao and fell in love with the beautiful landscape of the city and the friendly Chinese people. After getting an insight into life with Intern China she decided to return to China after graduating in Germany. As the manager of Intern China's Qingdao office she is in charge of all interns and students who take part in our programs there. Because she knows how it feels to be a waiguoren (foreigner) in China, she will put all her effort into helping you in Qingdao. She believes that intercultural experience is the key to career success in our globalized world. Therefore she wants to motivate you to explore cultural differences - for your China stay and your future. During her free time you'll find Jenny practicing Martial Arts (especially Kickboxing) or improving her Mandarin skills by chatting with the friendly and curious Qingdao taxi drivers. Jenny speaks German (native), English (fluent), Mandarin (basic), plus French and Vietnamese which need a lot of work! |

Philippe joined the InternChina team as an intern in the Zhuhai office in 2011 and is now the Zhuhai Office Manager. His trilingual upbringing, fluent in English, Swedish and French (now also with conversational Chinese and basic German/ Spanish) and living in several countries has made him appreciate different societies and develop a love for communication. In turn, this has led to a fascination with global culture and the business world. These experiences led to his desire to study Chinese and work in China as it is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Philippe likes to travel, but the more remote and wild the better! He has travelled extensively in China, but they are still many places, villages and cultures that he wishes to discover. He enjoys scuba diving, mountaineering and is interested in aeronautics, ukulele, modern art, architecture, and science and technology innovations. Being based in Zhuhai perfectly fits his ethos, ambitions and hobbies. Working in a city which has streets lined with Palm trees is the cherry on top of the cake :) |

He oversees our two city-specific customer relations managers and after over 2 years experience with InternChina he knows exactly what foreign interns expect in terms of service. Due to his good contacts he helps arrange internships, apartments and host-families to our students. Leo is an expert in finding the best local restaurants, shops and places to buy cheap beer! He will be around to answer your questions and point you in the right direction upon your arrival in Zhuhai. From his 2 years at the Qingdao office, before moving to Zhuhai, Leo also lent his name to the now famous Qingdao 6-a-side team 'Leo's Laowais', meaning 'Leo's Foreigners'. The team in which he played with Jamie was also made up of friends and many interns brought to Qingdao by Intern China. |

She is responsible for picking you up when you arrive in Qingdao and assisting our team to arrange internships, apartments and host families for all students. Rita comes from Qingdao, so she always tries her best to help you during your stay in Qingdao and guide you through the many beautiful sights that Qingdao has to offer. I think many foreigners will like the modern city of Qingdao. Rita likes jazz, Chinese chess and Chinese painting, but at the same time is very keen to know more about western culture. She speaks fluent English and is learning German now in preparation for trips to western countries in the future. |
