For interns who prefer more privacy and independent living, we book centrally located, well equipped apartments in both Qingdao and Zhuhai. Most of the apartments we book are close to the seaside and have convenient transportation links (i.e. several bus lines). Of course every apartment has its own kitchen, equipped with all utensils needed for cooking and cutlery, a bathroom with hot water 24 hours a day, bright rooms with a double bed, air-conditioning, washing machine, TV set, couch, desks, chairs and for a little extra, we can also provide an internet connection, up and running upon arrival. We also put a few things to eat and drink in your refrigerator, so that you can have a snack and a drink of water when you arrive.
Our standard prices, as listed on our prices page, are for studio apartments, which typically have one large room divided into a sleeping area and living area. Some studios have a separate bedroom and living room, depending on availability. We can also quote prices for larger apartments on request if you are able to share with friends who are also on our programme.
Please bear in mind that our prices for apartments include all bills such as water, electricity and gas. Plus, if you book an apartment in China you usually pay an agency fee of 50-100% of one month's rent, which you avoid by booking through Intern China. As a foreigner it is difficult to find and negotiate an apartment in China, so if you arrive in Qingdao or Zhuhai and rent an apartment yourself, you can also expect to spend at least 10 days in a hotel (which we could happily help you to book), whilst you search for a suitable apartment to rent. This is another added cost and inconvenience you would avoid by booking an apartment through Intern China. Making you feel at home is our business, so we will always make sure everything is OK with your apartment and take care of things like paying the bills on your behalf, so that you can concentrate on enjoying your internship or language course and sampling daily life in China.
